-
Have all technical requirements planned out before the event. Identify how many microphones you will require at once, if there is a band, forward a technical rider to the production company in advance. If using Video, distinguish what tape formats or computer outputs you will be providing.
-
Provide a timeline to the Audio, Lighting and Video director. This will ensure that each segment of the event will run smoothly, on time and in proper order.
-
Appoint a technically minded individual from your event group to coordinate between the event planning team and the production company. This technical director will know the focus and goal of your event, and know how to achieve those goals on a technical basis and relay that to the production company.
-
Use visual aids to keep audience interest. By using Video or Digital Slide Show, the audience will be engaged with real images, colour and sound. Visual Assistance will also reinforce your key communication points.
-
Don’t overlook the lighting requirements. No matter what atmosphere your event is trying to achieve, lighting can always lend great assistance in accomplishing your goals.

Everything is just a decision. Choose to have fun at your event.
