Project: Sanctuary Audio System Upgrade
Client: Kennedy Road Tabernacle
Objective: Design an audio system that will offer complete vertical and horizontal coverage for a high impact worship team, along with video playback, and speech.
Solution: The sound system design included three spines of four JBL VRX932 fixed line array speakers. To aid in the distribution of low frequencies the extreme left and right spines included a JBL VRX918 sub at the top of each spine. Two more JBL VRX918 subs were added on the floor for additional low-end reinforcement. JBL VRX928 boxes were used as near fill boxes, and another two for choir monitors. Lab Gruppen amplifiers powered the JBL system. A DBX Driverack 480 handled the speaker processing, and Middle Atlantic supplied the remote power distribution. The system is all driven from the Soundcraft Vi6 digital console, incorporating a direct link to the existing Aviom monitoring stations.
